Enbroidered insole handcrafted by Tu and Miao females is one of the folk arts of Xiangxi ethnic group. It is almost free from any constraints of art theories and concepts with the presentation of frankness and nature while demonstrating obvious originality both in pattern and color assortment. The designs mostly originate from Xiangxi ethnic people's good wishes for prosperous life in future, which are expressed symbolically in the pattern and the color.
