Abstract:Based on the horticulture therapy, the design of the central landscape in Badan village follows the three design principles: protection of the original ecology, design with humanization consideration and improvement of public participation, with different functional areas set up in accordance with the living habits and needs of the elderly; with allocation of plants in combination with native plants, other ornamental plants and fruits and vegetables. The purpose of this study is to adjust the physical and mental state of the elderly by the five-sense spaces created by plants, followed by a discussion on the strategies suitable for the current rural landscape design.
