Abstract:Air-lift performance was investigated experimentally for different arrangements of nozzles and air flow rates. The discharged liquid flux, discharged particle mass, concentration of particles and lifting efficiency were tested by changing the arrangements of airflow nozzles and air flow rate. The experimental results show that the change of air-injecting method has great effect on the air-lifting performance. It is concluded that optimal lifting performance can be obtained with a suitable air-injecting method under the condition of certain air volume. But along with the increase of air flow rate, air-lift performance parameters presents the first increases and then decreases, the peak of each parameter corresponding to air flow rate is very different.
