Abstract:The great founding spirit of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was neither inherent in the minds of its pioneers, nor did it materialize abruptly on the day of the Party’s establishment. Rather, it is a holistic concept encompassing the revolutionary ideals, convictions, sentiments, will power, and character forged by the pioneers through their foundational activities under specific historical and spatiotemporal conditions. Originating in the great era of human awakening sparked by the October Revolution, this spirit drew inspiration from the Fourth Patriotic Movement. It took shape in some key regions like Shanghai and Beijing. Deeply rooted in the practical endeavors of party building, it drew nourishment from the revolutionary pioneers who contributed to the establishment of the CPC. Conducting in-depth research into its temporal origins, historical traces, geographical emergence, human sources, and practical foundations—to clarify precisely where and how this spirit came into being—holds significant theoretical and practical importance.
