Abstract:Introducing intangible cultural heritage(ICH) into campuses and exploring its ideological and political values can better fulfill universities’ mission of “cultivating people through culture”. At present, the integration of ICH resources into university education remains exploratory, facing issues such as insufficient in-depth sorting and refining of ICH resources tailored to ideological and political education, inadequate synergistic mechanism between ICH inheritance and talent cultivation, and insufficient preparation in utilizing ICH resources to educate students. The combination of ICH resources and university ideological and political education is a mutual reinforcement between culture and education. To optimise this integration, universities can take the following approaches: using ICH-based teaching materials as a breakthrough to stimulate the intrinsic motivation of ICH’s ideological and political elements, incorporating ICH into classroom teaching to strengthen the pedagogical matrix, establishing a digital ICH museum on campus to deepen multimodal immersive experiences, and forming ICH preservation and promotion student associations to expand the depth and breadth of ideological and political education through ICH.
