Abstract:As an integral part of the university governance system, supervision within higher education institutions plays a significant role in advancing law-based university administration, ensuring the healthy operation of various powers, and achieving efficient collaborative governance. However, the current state of university governance reveals several major constraints: insufficient awareness between supervising bodies and those being supervised, ill-defined supervisory responsibilities among functional departments, and inadequate coordination mechanisms. To address these issues, disciplinary inspection and supervisory efforts must prioritize university governance as their central task, clarify pathways and mechanisms for integrating supervision into governance, and strive to fulfill their role in ensuring implementation and promoting improvement and development, thereby advancing the modernization of university governance systems and capabilities.
