Abstract:Under the guidance of Marxism, the Communist Party of China, through the “Sinification” transformation of journalism and based on the unity of “Party spirit” and “People-centeredness”, has formed the “Yan’an Path” for the construction of leadership in news and public opinion work. This approach exhibits distinct political characteristics in terms of discourse subjects, discourse channels, discourse content and discourse objects, etc.First, discourse subjects: The Party possesses the ability to optimize the allocation of media resources through the construction of leadership systems based on democratic centralism; it has the capacity to provide and interpret news theories that integrate Marxism with both Chinese and foreign civilizations; and it can ensure the faithful transmission and dissemination of the Party’s voice to rural societies through the positioning of Party newspapers as “mouthpieces of the Party”, as well as through the principles of “the Party managing the media” and “ideological remolding” in news team building. Second, discourse channels: The Party has the ability to construct rational boundaries for discourse “territories” and achieve deep penetration of discourse “platforms” at the community level. Third, discourse content: It possesses the ability to define the “authenticity” of news and construct a “People-centered” professional ethics. Fourth, discourse objects: The Party has the ability to frame discussions around the “People” and thereby define discourse qualifications, as well as the ability to fulfill promises made in news communication.
