Abstract:The distinctive ecological view contained in Chinese modernization is a concise expression of Chinese modernization theory in the ecological dimension, which is not only a scientific summary of past cognition and practice, but also an expectation and requirement for the future. Chinese modern ecological view includes the ecological nature view of adhering to the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, the ecological political view of solving ecological environment problems based on the “Two Major Issues” (addressing both the fundamental needs of the people and the sustainable development of the nation), the ecological wealth view of emphasizing the synergy between “Two Mountains” (lucid waters and lush mountains being invaluable assets), the ecological development view of prioritizing new quality productive forces, and the ecological justice view of manifesting the systematic integration of “shared beauty through diversity”. The western modern ecological view holds the anthropocentrism position and regards nature as the carrier of capital proliferation. The Chinese modern ecological view is manifested by adhering to ecological rationality and actively seeking for ecological civilization, which realizes the criticism, revision and transcendence of the western modern ecological view.
