Abstract:Wong Kar-wai’s films have a unique text language, especially focusing on the emotional flow of the protagonist, and have a more unique position in the poetic narrative scene. They use abstract text symbols for expression, so that numbers and time and space, images and memories, monologues and emotions are interconnected. The use of dislocation techniques for encoding makes the text language and external sounds, character behaviors and camera scenes present a contradictory ideographic structure, which enhances the emotional expression in the conflict. The use of poetic language to uncover the truth, goodness and beauty makes the potential connotations of “unity of emotion and scenery”, “rational detachment” and “grasping this existence” in the text language fully manifest in the narrative space, bringing the audience rich life enlightenment.
