Abstract:Wang Guowei’s “Realm” Theory is not a summary of a certain feature of literary works, but an all-round evaluation of the four levels of language, image, meaning and spiritual vitality of literary works. The so-called realm is manifested in the naturalness of language, the intuitiveness of imagery, the worldliness of meaning, and the vitality of spirit. The so-called literary works with realm are to create an artistic world intuitively with natural language and real images, thus conveying the author’s profound and unique life experience for the world and life, and then making readers feel the same. The theory of “realm” is a four-fold organic whole of language, image, meaning and spirit, which cannot be studied separately.
