Abstract:Chiang Yee, a Chinese-American writer, spread Chinese traditional culture to overseas readers through the writing of Chinese classical literature, Chinese folk customs and ancient Chinese classics, and made Chinese stories and ideas enter the daily reading of overseas readers with the help of the mixed writing strategy of poetry, calligraphy and painting, which renews their understanding of China and its traditional culture. Chiang Yee, deeply influenced by Chinese traditional culture, has insisted on observing and examining his creative context with the “Chinese Eye” during many years of cross-cultural travel, seeking for the commonality of heterogeneous cultures in the communication and exchange between Chinese and foreign cultures. This also constitutes the value of Chiang Yee’s traditional Chinese culture writing.
