Contemporary Chinese industry-themed film and TV dramas have constructed Zhuzhou’s industrial city image of “livable city”, “power city” and “science and technology creation city” through distinctive characters, picture composition that highlights conflicts and audio-visual strategies that strengthen realism. However, the image of Zhuzhou constructed in this kind of industry-themed film and TV dramas also exists problems such as the lack of city personality in the connotation, the narrative dissolution of topophilia and the lack of a clear image in the communication, etc. For this reason, the Zhuzhou Municipal Government has been working hard to develop the image of Zhuzhou as an industrial city. Because of this, Zhuzhou municipal government and other relevant departments should strengthen the top-level design of “industrial planning + government linkage”, advocate the localized film and television creation of “industrial themes + genre creation”, and strengthen the publicity and promotion of “industrial advantages + interactive communication” to promote the film and television dramas with industrial themes in China to construct a more culturally appealing image of Zhuzhou in the cultural logic of “city-film interaction”, so as to realize the enhancement of the influence and reputation of the city.
