Improving learning ability is not only the need of self-development of college counselors, but also the requirement of serving the students and promoting the construction of college counselors. In the context of the construction of a learning society and the connotative development of universities and colleges, we should, by introducing the concept of learning ability into the construction of college counselors and adhering to the principles of problem orientation and practice orientation, answer the questions of “why to learn”, “what to learn” and “how to learn” so as to improve the counselors’ competence in serving students and help the counselors equip with learning ability and practical skills in the new era.
