Abstract:As a key course to foster virtue through education, the course of ideological and political theory features both politics and academy. The way of “integrating academy into politics” is determined by the content and characteristics of Marxist theoretical education as well as its educational orientation. It is an inevitable requirement for the high-quality development of ideological and political theory courses in the new era. To promote the integration of politics with academy, the quality of project-based teaching should be improved, while the quantity of it should be reduced, and the teachers should be guided to acquire a certain subdivision with solid accumulation. At the same time, the mechanism of scientific research serving for teaching should be improved by increasing the academic proportion in evaluating ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.
