Jin Yuelin’s Russell’s Philosophy which has not received much attention in academia plays a significant role in the application and elucidation of Marxist philosophy and deserves in-depth research. With the position of time and space as the main criterion and scientific propositions as the secondary criterion, Russell’s Philosophy demonstrates and explains the objective reality of matter. From a unique perspective of the distinction between matter and object, the dialectical relationship between the general and the individual is explained. With the unity of practice and perception as the theoretical foundation, this article explains the characteristics of practice and the various aspects of its decisive role in cognition, which plays a certain role in the enrichment and development of Marxist philosophy. However, Russell’s Philosophy still has the suspicion of culling phrases and citing passages and has disadvantages of following the Soviet philosophical model.
