Ning Tiaoyuan loved and admired Du Fu’s poems all his life. In his poetry creation, he inherited Du Fu’s poems in unique ways, such as imitating Du Fu’s style, collecting Du Fu’s poems, using Du Fu’s rhythm and changing Du Fu’s sentences, and inherited and carried forward Du Fu’s creative thought of being concerned about the country and the people, realistic creative method, depressed and frustrated creative style and rich and varied artistic techniques. His poems have distinctive ideological and artistic features, and are treasures of modern Chinese poetry.
