Abstract:The “baby hatch” system is a manifestation of China’s protection of human rights, the practice of the maximizing children’s interests principle, and fulfillment of national obligations. Due to the rare content of relevant laws and regulations on the“baby hatch” and the existence of system and style problems, the“baby hatch”has fallen into the current dilemma of expanding funding gaps, social public opinion differentiation, and lack of identity information for abandoned babies. Thus, the legal status of“baby hatch”should be clarified, relevant supporting systems should be improved, and resources should be increased to realize the stable operation and sound development of baby hatch.
