Abstract:From 1969 to 1974, Niu Han received labor and ideological reform in the “May 7th” Cadre School in Xiangyang Lake. Here, the poet not only experienced the “poetic and picturesque beauty” of the rural natural scenery, but also felt the profound friendship of simple farmers, and his soul was edified by the art of nature and comforted emotionally by the villagers. The poet’s unique aesthetic vision and open-minded personality prompted him to make a “poetic judgment” on “Xiangyang Lake”, and created poetry by “chewing suffering and ruminating on life”. In the days of Xiangyang Lake, Niu Han made great efforts to explore the beauty of living and life, hold fast to his spiritual homeland, devoted himself to “potential writing”, and his creative achievements after “returning” were remarkable, which ushered in the second spring of life and poetry for him.
