Abstract:Iraqi writer Ibnal-Mugafa’s collection of Arabic fables Kalilah Wa Dimnah, originally compiled according to the The Panchatanra, occupies a very important position in the history of Arabic literature. Since the May Fourth Movement, it has attracted wide attention in translation circles in China. Up to now, there have been many versions, which have exerted a wide and far-reaching influence on the development of Chinese literature, especially the development and maturity of fable literature of ethnic minorities and children’s literature.
