Abstract:Jieshou painted pottery is the carrier of traditional culture and has profound historical and cultural value. Its raw materials come from the large area of clay deposits left by the flooding of Ying River. The local customs, historical culture, social environment and other human factors also have an important impact on the formation of Jieshou painted pottery, which is the basis of the formation of Jieshou painted pottery’s simple natural art style. The firing of Jieshou painted pottery began in the Song Dynasty at the latest and flourished since the 1980s. The patterns of Jieshou painted pottery mainly include plants, animals and figures. The shapes of utensils include pots, bottles, bowls, pots and jars. The glaze color is mainly ochre red, bright yellow and brown green. It is characterized by the style of “red ground and white flowers”, which provides rich material data for the current academic research on the artistic characteristics of Jieshuo painted pottery.
