Anren County was called Rongling County in ancient times. In the 20th year of Jian’an reign in the Eastern Han Dynasty (215), Rongling County was classified as Yinshan County. In the fifth year of Wude reign in Tang Dynasty(622), Anren Town was located in Yinshan County, which was mostly the original land of Rongling County; After that, its administrative and military divisions were adjusted several times. In the third year of Qiande in the Northern Song Dynasty (965), Anren County was finally set, and the county government was initially in Gucheng City; In the fifth year of Xianping reign in Song Dynasty (1002), its county government was moved to the current address.
