Abstract:In the new century,the film and television adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms mainly includes three types: imitation, parody and funny anti-customary. These three types of adaptation are innovation and reproduction of the original works, which contain rich cultural and creative connotations. Imitation works are to develop a new path on the basis of continuing the originality of the original works and derive a new cultural connotation. Parody works deconstruct the halo, authority, theme implication and character image of the original works. However, the deconstruction is not the ultimate goal but the starting point of reconstruction, whose ultimate direction is to reconstruct the cultural connotation. Funny anti-customary works selectively restore the connotation of the original works or reconstruct another cultural value instead of continuing the original cultural connotation, nor deconstructing the original connotation. No matter what kind of adaptations, whose creativity must conform to the original attributes and should also be meaningful and valuable.
