Abstract:There is a strong rationale for the creation of Chinese characters. These rationales have been inherited more or less, and have influenced the development of Chinese characters. In the breeding of Chinese characters, rationale has an impact on the evolution of pseudo-loanwords, the deformation of pseudo-words and the usage of words. In the evolution of glyph, rationale leads to the multiplication of glyph, and the accumulation of rationales also causes the change of glyph. The influence of rationale on Chinese character system is mainly manifested in such three aspects: increasing motivation to make up for the lack of deformation, impacting on the division of labor of variant characters and restricting the development and change of fonts.Rationale plays a profound influence on the Chinese character derivation and glyph evolution, which largely maintains the rigor of the Chinese character system.
