Abstract： Shi Yifeng, a new writer who transformed to write the “new scars” of reform, recently published his new works The External History of the Soul and Born out of Life. These two novels are in sharp contrast with “scar literature” in expressing the motif of regression and the form of ending. They provide valuable texts for the construction of the idea of “New Scar Literature”.
