The main method of the compilation of Ci rhyme in Qing Dynasty is to sum up the rhyme of the old Ci, and the results are fruitful, but there is no one who agrees with the actual situation of the rhyme of the old Ci. The fundamental reason is that there are deep differences between the Ci rhyme system in Qing Dynasty and the rhyme of the old Ci: Firstly,the purposes are different. The rhyme of the old Ci must conform to the music, so people could choose the rhyme according to the time tone and the square sound in the creation and the characteristics of “accent” in the singing weakened the differences of the tone. In the Qing Dynasty, the purpose of rhyme compilation was establishing the specification for Ci, and the rhyme compilation emphasized the rules and the system of rhymes. Secondly, the bases are different. Objective induction of the rhyme of the old Ci must be based on exhaustive old Ci, while the compilation of rhymes can not be exhausted in the use of old Ci.
