Abstract： Three types of characters, namely the children, adults and mad people are mainly shaped in Wu Xinrus novels. His novels reflect the real world by the childish and absurd verbal behaviors of children and teenagers, dispell stereotype toward the world through the performance of the adults which look like steady but actually mundane, and break the balance between fiction and reality in his works through the stupidity of mad people. Wus novels overturned peoples stereotype and formed a new aesthetic view about reality, which shows the writers unique understanding of the social reality.
