Changde Jiuli Yugu is a kind of folk rap music form based on the regional language of the northwest of Hunan province. It is an outstanding representative of the traditional opera of local opera in Hunan, and it is the “active state” inheritance of the ancient culture, the “active state” protection of folk culture, as well as the pioneer of popular culture. In the different development period, Jiuli Yugu, in the form of rap rather than preaching, has played a significant role in the inheritance of Chusu Wufeng, protection of the local culture and spreading of the popular culture.
