As a representative poetics theory of China and the West，the Selfless Realm Thoery of Wang Guowei and the Impersonal Poetic Thoery of T·S Eliot have some differences and similarities in lyric subjectivity, lyrical object and reader acceptance. Through the comparative study on the both, we can find that they have great value in the development of contemporary Chinese poetics theory.
