Since the May 4th Movement, Luxun had advocated innovation as a pioneer, however, there was still distance between the elite intellectuals and the objects of the enlightenments. At the same time, the lack of cognition from common intellectuals directly resulted in the failure of enlightenment. In the sad state that there was no understanding and receiving of the “black room”, elite intellectuals, advocated by western humanism, had just finished a speech themselves. Then elite intellectuals represented by Luxun had to face the perplexity and hesitation in the real world.
