Abstract:Taking historical records of Wei Junyi’s novels, diaries, traditional poems and essays as the objects of the research, which were created between the time when Wei was running to Yan’an and the founding of the People’s Republic of China (1939-1949), this paper aims to obtain an overall and comprehensive grasp of Wei Junyi’s experience of developing from a youthful participant of national salvation movement to an obedient follower of Yan’an Rescue Movement, and finally to a CPC cadre of literature and art agencies as well as her tortuous mental course through the construction of a pan-text context in the process of intertextual reading, which may promote the researches on Wei Junyi and help to comprehend the tenacious spiritual quest of a generation of Chinese intellectuals represented by her.
