Abstract:Jerrold Seigel’s work Bohemian Paris: Culture, Politics, and Boundary of the Bourgeois Life(1830-1930),recently translated by professor Weihua, vividly reappears the development of Bohemian culture through careful combing of historical documents and deep case study. It also broke the prejudice of western academic circle on the relationship between Bohemia and the bourgeoisie, and reveals the cultural characteristics and spiritual nature of Bohemia, which is of unique reference value and enlightening significance to China’s current study of Bohemia.
