He Dun’s See You Next Life is based on the historical facts, and assilmilates fiction in the plot. It falls in between history and story, novel and reportage, and has double meaning of literature and life: for the unknown history of the war of resistance against Japan, as readers "we" are the “dream men muffled in the boudoir”; In terms of real life, the surviving characters in the novel are the “dream men not knowing today”. The novle interconnects the fates of small potatoes with the history changes and uses historical materials to asiist literary imagination. So it not only has “real” value of historical literature, but also shows the writer’s feelings of home and country through the inquiry of historical justice.
