Reading literacy is an important part of core competitiveness for college students, especially for physical education major students. In order to understand the situation of physical education students' reading literacy and promote its core competitiveness, a questionnaire was carried on for the physical education students in Hunan University of Technology; besides, by interviewing with some teachers, the status and influencing factors of reading literacy are preliminary understood, some suggestions were also put forwards.
