As a writer taking root deeply into the earth of Zhangjiajie, Shi Jili has produced many works about its gorgeous landscape. In the Tourist Tetralogy, she invited tourists to visit her hometown with great passion and hospitality. In the novel Note on Zhangjiajie and Walking through Zhangjiajie, she went deeply into the Banbian Street, recording the trivial people and local customs. Viewed in a spatial expressional perspective, Zhangjiajie is integrated only if its beautiful landscape is combined with Banbian Street. One represents nature, sparkling in people’s sight, while the other symbolizes humanity, fading away from history.
