Abstract:Nicomachean Ethics is a significant book in the research about Aristotle’s political views, though it is always judged to be an ethical book. Nicomachean Ethics points out the difference between the moral virtues and reasonable virtues, and finds out the advisability, which is classified as one kind of the reasonable virtues, has a close connection to politics. Both the advisability and politics refer to the human’s practice on particular behaviors. Because of its several special properties, advisability makes it possible for human to grow up from moral virtues to reasonable virtues, which also means raising up from political life to philosophical life. In the thought of ethics and politics of Aristotle, his explanations and the judgments about advisability and politics are regarded as one of the most outstanding contributions.
