The term of “readers” from the rhetorical narrative theory makes the real reader re-acquire the legitimate position to understand and criticize the textual information of narrative works through his/her ethical criteria. To criticize the short story “Solid Geometry” from the perspective of the narrative ethic means scrutinizing the surface narrative based on the narrative strategies to explore the narrative ethics hidden in the discrepancy between the surface and the subtext meanings mainly from the three levels: the first-person narrator and perspective, the narrative mode and the narrative scene. Therefore, the ethical warnings hidden in the story will be aware of the masculine dominance.
