From the point of content, the varia involves the whole messy, times of current affairs, life itself, and many other aspects. From the point of implication, its core is biting and introspection. The “biting” of these works is embodied in the writer’s sharp eyes, especially his insight into the evil of social, cultural and human nature from the social life, while the “introspection” of these works is embodied in the writer’s strong sense of introspection, exposing his own ugliness and lowliness.
