Abstract:Wu Liuwei’s works are full of rich flavor of life, and most of the heroes in his works are small figures. Although life is hard, they still refuse to be cowed or submit and have admirable survival wisdom. Facing the unavoidable difficulties and setbacks in life, they maintain a positive and optimistic attitude and live in a down-to-earth way, manifesting the warmth in suffering. The twists and cruelty of life make Wu Liuwei’s works realistic, but the beauty and warmth of life make them romantic. Wu Liuwei attempts to use the polyphonic narrative to blend and unify the two themes of “wisdom of survival” and “warmth of suffering” perfectly.
