Abstract:Code-switching (CS) is a complicated linguistic phenomenon. This paper analyzes CS from the perspective of interactive sociolinguistics and conversational analysis theory in qualitative and quantitative methods. The data is collected among overseas students under the context of job interview. After the analysis of the data, it is found that overseas students adopt much more CS in interviews; most of the embedded words are nouns and the main reasons for CS are accessibility of words, choice of strategies and markers.
