Abstract:John Steinbeck’s novella, Of Mice and Men, not only vividly depicts the “land dream” of the two protagonists, George and Lennie, but also shows his great concern and sympathy with the farm workers and plainly portrays the beautiful landscape of nature. All these are the specific reflection of the author’s land complex. Meanwhile, the complex also plays a positive role in his literary creation that trying to find a way for the working people even the whole of American people who are lost in a difficult situation.
