Abstract:Nie Mao's early rural prose has nothing to do with fashion or popularity, but only takes “hometown” as the keyword and basic discourse position of writing. In his series of works, local flavor witnesses the writing force, and rice complex shows the charm of solitude, while the mirror of drifting presents the tension of suffering, and internal landscape demonstrates the gravity of wisdom. Nie Mao's self consciousness and aesthetic pursuit of rural primary state strike out on his prose and completely walk out of the classic romantic style shadow of self pity and narcissism, confession and self conceit under the light of ration and intelligence. It is the traditional culture and life tension of the ancient land that supports his writing.
