Abstract:Zhang Zao's poem of A Risky Journey had intertextual relationship with the Greek Poet Odysseus Elitis, the American fictionist Margaret Mitchell and the English poet John Dunn. According to his works A Risky Travel: The Structure of Meta-poetry and the Attitude of Chinese Contemporary, the critique of modernity was able to be noticed from A Risky Journey. At the same time, based on dialogue, Zhang Zao discovered that Chinese contemporary poetry was faceing crisis. In order to overcome those difficulties, he tried to establish meta-poetry study.
