Abstract:Lu Xun is highly sensitive to the topic of “sacrifice”. In Gu Shi Xin Bian, through reshaping and processing the ancient myths and historical figures, he showed deep comprehension of the victim’s fate: being abandoned and surrounded. Moreover, there exists continuity and progression of expressing this theme among his four novels Bu Tian, Ben Yue to Li Shui and Fei Gong. The former two describe that victims were trapped in the dilemma of being abandoned and surrounded; while the other two depict two victims who struggled to get out of the dilemma.
