Abstract:In the 1920s and 1930s, Lu Xun advocated modern engraving arts actively, and edited and sorted out a lot of engraving collections. He emphasized reality, beauty and availability. The engraving collections he edited present high aesthetic level. This action not only left the later generations with a rich legacy of arts, but also influenced and cultured a lot of engraving artists, and consequently, the traditional art of engraving has been widely spread and flourished in modern China.
