The Union of Factory is fairly a bildungsroman written by Chu He. Firstly, it depicted the hero from “Monkey Sun” to “Commissar Ma”, which is generality characteristic of bildungsroman; Secondly, this story recounted the growth of low-level worker, which is distinct from the themes of most typical bildungsroman. Those distinct characteristics originated in novelist's strong sense of carefulness consciousness to under-class and the experiments as an underprivileged worker for decades.
