Abstract:Jiaozuo City, located at the southern foot of Taihang Mountains in Henan Province,has a long history and deep foundation of Buddhism. During the Northern Wei, Sui and Tang dynasties,here was an important transportation channel between Ping Cheng and Luo Du,Luoyang and Ye Cheng. Its three most famous Buddhist relics, namely the cliff rock inscriptions of Guanyin Scripture in Qingtianhe, the Taiping Temple grottos and cliff rock statues in Xuangu Mountain, the cliff rock inscriptions and statues in Shifo Beach, have significant historical value, especially for researching the fusion and exchange of Buddhist art between the western and central regions of China.
