Based on the diasporic writers，special cultural background and writing styles and on several different perspectives of post-colonial translation theory, this paper discusses Chinese American writers’ special identity of cultural translator under the double cultural context, the unavoided rewriting of “Chinese image” during cultural translation and also its potential of “orientalism”. What’s more, it also focuses on the embarrassing situations of Chinese translators.
