On the basis of the discussion about and the research into foreignization and domestication translation strategies in the translation circle from home and abroad, this paper tries to find the optimal balance point between the two strategies, of which the dialectical unity has been concluded from the aspects of linguistic form and cultural issues. From a cultural perspective, it is seen that “the degree” of foreignization and domestication is influenced by “the degree of cultural convergence” and “readers’ receptivity”. In the dynamic changing of culture, the optimal balance point is changing therewith.
