Abstract:The literary criticism in Ming Dynasty displays its developing track through the intercross and imbroglio between the theory of emotions and the theory of the nature of mind. The Learning-from-heart school holds the thought which shows its approaching and identification. The Tang-Song school favors the theory of meaning and idealism, and the Jingling school elucidates the “soul” and “disposition” from the perspective of poetry. They both establish the theoretic characteristics of the mind-orientation and reveal the great influence the study of heart have on the literary thoughts.
