Abstract:Two decades since the collapse of the Soviet Union has witnessed radical changes of systems in the Commonwealth of the independent states, the fundamental change in the political realm being the formation of party politics marking Russia transformed from one party system to multi-party system. During the rule by Boris Yeltsin, owing to struggles and reconstruction among different parties, multi-party system was finally legalized in the course of various legislations. However, such a party system has its own unique features for the reason that it emerged during the transition of the whole social system. Such a political system is typical one featuring without ruling party. So far, no party system has taken shape in Russian in a real sense.
